Used DVD and Blu-ray Finds April 2021

A number of really nice used and new DVD and Blu-ray finds from local stores including many Warner Archive MOD DVDs, a volume of the Forbidden Hollywood series, DVD snapper cases, Blu-ray sets and more.

Always loved Ros Russell. I used to tell friends that it would have been fun to go to a bar with her, Vera Miles, Beverly Garland and Betty Bacall...if there were a bar fight, they'd protect me.

Great pick ups! Haven't been picking up too many blu rays the past bit but recently picked Scarface on 4K and Universal Horror vol 1 collection, good old Bela Lugosi films

BTW they only did 10 volumes of Forbidden Hollywood, get those they're going way up in price!

@39:00 It's because it is Harry Gregson Williams. Fantastic composer. He is also obsessed with Quested speakers. I accidentially own a 5.1 surround set of the same speakers as he use (and Zimmer). Quested V2108.
I think I might have this movie on DVD, but haven't got myself to watch it yet. So it is that good?

I really like The Gypsy Moths, Burt Lancaster built himself a diverse and meaningful career. But William Windom walks away with the film in one final devastating line.

Fyi, If you're interested in seeing the entire Volker Schlondorff Billy Wilder interview that's excerpted on the ONE, TWO, THREE blu-ray, the Masters of Cinema edition of THE LOST WEEKEND has it in full (and actually my main reason for buying the disc as that's one of my least favorite Wilders).

Check out "The Mind Reader" on that Forbidden Hollywood set, it is marvelous! seriously underrated, you will love it man!

I have some worries as to the longevity of MOD DVDs. Probably just paranoia though, I have a lot of them and don't want them to go.
