The main charecter dosent go to church, dosent really know what recovery is and is in denial he even has an addiction. Anyone could understand this story. It moves the main charecter along with the audience through the journey of discovering what it all is about. Thats what makes this movie so good and watchable. it dosent presume anything. it just a great story of life change.

This is a very inspirational movie. I am going to see it, ignore the people's comments as they do not have Faith, that is what this movie is about Faith and God and all things good. Enough said Amen.

Pray is smiply speaking to God like a friend, and shows your faith and that you believe He is faithful to do what He says He will. Serving at a soup kitchen is putting that faith into action, and show that you love God. You can serve without loving, but you cannot love without serving.

apparently i hit thumbs up and didn't mean to. I can understand your perspective- though i don't necessarily agree. in fact, my wife and I were really encouraged by this movie, its message, and the story line.

No it's purposeful. One draws the crowd, the other is previewed and baseball fans are likely to come back and see the other. Home Run is a great movie and a money maker, but it was understood by benefactors it was not a Hollywood blockbuster.
