There are two solutions to traditional loneliness: 1) move out of the city, with its millions of people who can't be bothered with one another. 2) Get online. There are countless social media and socially interactive activities that you can lose yourself into, which can be better than real life, since you can select and connect with compatible, like-minded individuals on shared interests.

Get a pc and/or a games console... life is great fun on your own and doesn't have to be lonely if you put the effort in and go to where people are to talk to them.

Yeh you won't get the depth of relationship a long term partnership can offer but at that age you aint gonna find that probably anyway... most people can't find that whatever age...
