The fact that Andre who drives every new truck chose to buy an older generation truck should tell you everything you need to know about today's truck prices and reliability

The fact that the editor of one of the largest truck channels on YouTube goes for a 5-year old, 80, 000 miles previous generation V8 Toyota truck TELLS YOU EVERYTHING about the current state of modern truck market in the USA.

Certified Pre-owned once meant the dealer would pick through the vehicle very carefully before putting it on the lot to sell. Today, I'm not convinced they even test drive their Certified vehicles

I ordered a Tundra Platinum in June of 2021 with every available factory option including the Windchill Pearl color. When ordering that pearl white it forced all other available options of the factory running boards, the sunroof and the spray in bed liner. All that came standard once you chose that color. My truck arrived at the dealer in August of 2021. The truck currently has about 45, 500 miles on it. This is the first new vehicle I owned that never had one single warranty issue with it. I use it to pull my 7, 000 lb camper all over the US. I love my Tundra and got a lot of truck for the money. If I recall I paid just under $57, 000 in 2021. When I ordered the truck my intent was for its resale potential and bullet proof reliability. So far it has delivered on its promise.

Watching this video ensures me that I bought the right truck when I bought it new, a 2020 Tundra TRD Sport 4x4. It now has 47, 000 miles. I bought it for the same reason, THE ENGINE, reliable V8, plenty of power, and enough towing capability to tow my 8500# travel trailer. Great choice Andre, good luck, you won't be trading that truck in for many years. Love the channel also. BTW, I installed the Road Active Suspension on my truck to get rid of the squat. it makes the truck handles soooo much better with towing and without towing.

This would be an awesome series. Like the old house hunters show, Roman could take real buyers with a budget range and show them 3 vehicles and they pick the best one for them. I know I would watch.

Congrats Andre, great buy! I owned one years ago, what people don’t talk about enough is the handling of these trucks, on the road, off the road, they are always responsive and stable, always inspire confidence behind the wheel! And that sweet V8, what an engine…

CONGRATULATIONS ANDRE!!! Awesome truck!!! Best 1/2 ton ever built to date. Just a thought though, I would have checked ALL the fluids. Don’t give a crap about certified or not. Don’t trust dealers.

Nice looking truck! Is the snorkel for when you back the boat in too far?

I got my 2021 Tundra after someone leased, and traded my 2020 Tacoma. Gas guzzler or not, the truck is freaking amazing. So simple, but so rugged. Congrats!

I think Andre did an amazing job. Those trucks are rare and they last a long time. Plus it’s a V8, better motor, Toyotas last a very long time. That truck will be in his family for ever. Congratulations Andre!!! Well done!

Remove the snorkel and install a good intake, put a block off plate on the fender, and it’s fixed

I just bought 2018 Tundra. I looked at and drove 5 before making my choice. Mileage varied from 50k to 250k. The 250k 2011 drove the best. In the end I determined miles don't matter so I made my decision based on rust. The one I got had 130k and no rust anywhere. A few very minor dents and scratches but 0 rust. Paid 25 out the door.

Grats on the new ride. I just bought a used 2023 colorado Z71 fully loaded, everything but the sun roof, and I followed your whole journey with yours. I'm trading down from a single cab silverado but I dont have the towing or people hauling needs you do. I had to get mine in Blue too, its just so beautiful

From Michigan and rust. That equals salt, run and don’t look back.

I said "screw it" on buying anything new. Having someone re-build me a pre-2000's era 4x4 2500 with a solid frame, bench seat and all new motor/trans with no fancy gizmos.
This market is ridiculous.
