LEGO Storage Solution - Maybe Not

Found a replacement for the now defunct Stack-Ons. This Tafco branded product I purchased online from Walmart for less than $14 a piece with free shipping. The case is sturdy. The drawers are similar to stack-ons except a little smaller. The problem though was after I thought I was done with the video. The drawers are extremely tight and some are very hard to push back in. May need to break them all in. Anyway - might still work but might be a pain if using in a Bricklink store.

Also a small haul of a LEGO Watch from 1999 called Cyclone from eBay. And a couple of 2x2 storage bricks I found at a good price at Goodwill

I think it's very cool that you are actually increasing your store! Those stack-ons are GREAT! I really like the individual drawers - they are very practical when you are building stuff and such. And when you are PABLO'ing I guess :-D I think the biggest problem with these is the labeling. But, when you have a label-maker I guess it's pretty easy! Oh, and I'm curious to know if the tightness will change with wear!? Shows the importance of choosing the right way to store your LEGO!! Thanks for sharing this! :-)

I dream of a day where I have my collection organized like you have your Bricklink store. I appreciate your opinion on things like this because I feel like you more than anyone know your stuff about LEGO storage. I'm hoping for an update after you get it all loaded up and set up. PS: The new logo is SWEET!

Jabo,   these are the solution I found for Stack Ons,   Akro-Mils 10144 Drawers are a hair bigger and they include dividers. Amazon carries them. Northern carries some just like it a little cheaper, but the drawers are not dividable

What made you change from your SigFig to the brickbuilt logo out of curiosity?

Wow new Avatar, pretty cool!! Maybe you could put some type of material in between them so they will not slip!

I was recently at my local ace hardware and they have storage bins that are pretty much the same to stack on. The drawers are interchangeable and they come with a removable divider. $22 for the 60 drawer. I high recommend. Quality is excellent.

I didn't know are they not making stacks on any more Jabbo, I've seen ppl mentioned Akro Mills I think that what Kevin uses as well, hopefully the drawers will slide better with uses over time...❤❤👍👍

Oh wow, I didn't realize Stack-Ons were discontinued.

I use a generic brand of these cabinets that have similar configurations to Stack-Ons with the 30 small + 9 large combination or separate, and identical products appear to be sold under the Stanley brand in some other countries. No idea why they aren't Stanley here, but they do stack securely and work well for the most part (though their dimensions are probably significantly different from Stack-Ons). They even sell dividers for the large drawers. I currently have 60 small and 36 large for my modest parts collection, although I very recently moved all my 1xn and 2xn bricks to a new set of 12 larger drawers from a local brand.

They aren’t great, I’ve got 12 of them mounted to the wall. I’ve pushed a drawer in and the drawer has a lip that can cause a jolt and parts can fall out and down in back. They are cheap though.

Put double sided tape between the new shelf’s before you bolt or screw them together! It will lock them together.

I like the Akro-Mils draws, I got some Stack-Ons first, but when Fleet Farm took them off their web site I figured it was time to find a new draw. The Akros don't match up in over all size but the draw is a little bigger. The stack-on draw slips down into the Akro draw. I got mine at Amazon, because it's LOL Jeff Bezo loves lazy people like me...

Yeah mentioned it before that the tafco are not as good as the stack-on organizers. The drawers can deform and can’t hold as much and fall out very easily but are made to lock into place when you push them back in. I’m using the same labels and put them now on the lip on my lower hanging organizers as well. I guess great minds think a like 👍👍
