Principal on Why He Told Students He Was Fired

The principal of a high school gets kicked out of a graduation ceremony for what he told his students. “I was kicked out for one reason. I truly love you and this community,” Principal Ben Nakamura of Stagg High School in Stockton, California said during his speech. Nakamura says he found out he was fired days earlier. Moments later, security escorted him off the campus. Parents and students defended Nakamura’s speech. Inside Edition has more. #InsideEdition

He told those kids that over coming obstacles in their lives is possible. He told HIS story about HIS life. He used HIS story to inspire those young minds that it's okay to come from a rough life but it's never okay to be dwelling on the littlest things that YOU can control. He shows those kids that over coming obstacles is great. I see nothing wrong or anything with this speech

This principal has helped me get through tough times. Like for instance, when I was robbed by a couple of kids; Mr. Nakamura reimbursed me. Another time he gave my family and I food while we were homeless

So, here’s what he says went down
One of the assistant principles were saying racist things and being racist to a bunch of people
Another black assistant principle filled a complaint
An investigation was required within 90 days
Nothing happened
This principle asked why there wasn’t anything done
He and the original complainant were interviewed by the district lawyer
They were both let go the next day

I was there in the stands for my step-daughters graduation. And he said NOTHING wrong but the truth of reality. He’s speech was inspirational and he spoke from the heart, he also shared his own experiences from his life. About his mother, which some students can relate too like my step-daughter. Her mother isn’t around because of drugs but that never stopped my step-daughter. I feel like it was a lot of the “KAREN” mother’s who didn’t like his speech the ones that live in country club or quail Lakes area (RICH AND THE “IM TOO GOOD” kinda people) that doesn’t have the struggle like most of us does, the ones that can’t relate to us. Shame to all those people he was making a difference in that school.

I actually had this guy as my principal in 7th and 8th grade. He was casually a really nice dude! He shouldn't be fired whatsoever!
