What does cooperation with the Italian defense industry company "Leonardo" mean to the Serbian Army?
Serbian Defense Minister Milos Vucevic had a meeting with representatives of the Italian company "Leonardo" a few days ago.
Namely, as early as 2021, representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Serbia and the Italian company in the field of military technology "Leonardo" signed an agreement on cooperation during the arms fair "Partner".
It was then learned that the cooperation with the company "Leonardo" will not be focused on the purchase of training-combat aircraft M-346 "Master", but will refer to the purchase of equipment and technological cooperation.
The most important part of the cooperation will refer to the components for equipping the modernized J-22M1A "Eagle" attack aircraft, and the representatives of the mentioned Italian company have already performed an analysis of the Serbian dedicated industry for a potentially wider industrial cooperation.

Ministar odbrane Srbije Miloš Vučević je pre par dana imao sastanak sa predstavnicima italijanske kompanije “Leonardo”.
Naime još 2021. godine predstavnici ministarstva odbrane Srbije i italijanske kompanije iz oblasti vojnih tehnologija “Leonardo” potpisali su sporazum o saradnji za vreme sajma naoružanja “Partner”.
Tada se saznalo da saradnja sa kompanijom “Leonardo” neće biti fokusirana u domenu kupovine trenažno-borbenih aviona M-346 “Master” već će se odnositi na kupovinu opreme i tehnološku saradnju.
Najvažniji deo saradnje će se odnositi na komponente za opremanje modernizovanog jurišnog aviona J-22M1A “Orao”, a predstavnici navedene italijanske kompanije su već obavili analizu srpske namenske industrije radi potencijalno šire industrijske saradnje.
