I appreciate this perspective, never really understood why the talking heads were saying the packers had “all” the leverage. I don’t think the jets do either, it’s beneficial for all parties to get this done. Anybody not named Stephen A Smith or a packers fan realizes that a 1st round pick is too much

Fantastic show today. Finally getting on the Greenbay Front office instead of Aaron Rodgers. Good job!

Good points from my two favorites, as usual. Florio and Sims always knock it out of the park.

Simms always sounds like he’s trying to convince himself

Think Chris Simms is the best former NFL player who became TV analyst right now. He's not always right, but I like his film analysis and inside info. I want to see Simms go on the Robert Mays podcast. I'd love to see them go back and forth.

If Im the Packers, if I cant get the first round picks from The Jets, ill keep Rodgers and pay him the money he owes as a backup and waste his lil career left on the bench at 40yrs old and cut him next yr at 41. Thats an old Rodgers who hast played for a yr plus. Good luck gettin what u want as an old FA who “statistically” gets worse when they take a yr off. Rodgers QB ability means more to him than $$$ 🤷🏻‍♂️

What I find absolutely hilarious is all of these people who have trashed Rodgers and said he was always manipulating the Packers front office to get his way all this time suddenly trying to paint him and the Jets as victims in this. Which is it Mikey?

Not sure you're entirely right, Mike. So, the Packers would prefer to get the deal done before the draft so they can get back picks that can help them this year. After that, New York can wait until the week before training camp, but after that, New York has all the pressure, and Green Bay has all the leverage. Green Bay is heading into a season where they just missed the playoffs, and they will be starting a guy that has almost no starting experience. Expectations are low. If they still have Rodgers money on the books for him to not play, who cares? They couldn't win with him on the field anyway. This is a rebuild year for the Packers. Meanwhile, New York's expectations are sky-high, but they all hinge on acquiring Rodgers. If they don't, it will be a lost season where it was supposed to be the beginning of their Super Bowl window. The Jets need the trade more. You bring up the spectre of Aaron showing up for camp if he's not traded. Fine. If he acts professionally, there's no problem. If he's a nuisance, it will only reflect badly on him. Love will be fine - he's dealt with Rodgers for 3 years already. The Packers have the leverage because they have less to lose (and, frankly, less to gain). New York needs this trade, and Green Bay might be able to get them to overpay.

If I’m the Packers I’m keeping Mushroom 🍄 as long as possible and I’d love to see them deny him going to the Jets !!!!🏈🏈🏈

I legit thought Florio was going to go through his plan;
Step 1: play hard ball
Step 2: get Aaron Rodgers
Step 3: Profit

Rodgers brought up the fact that the Packers have done this to a LOT of players on their way out. It's not just him.

As a Die hard Jets fan for over 50 yrs, I love the way you guys are thinking. We need to go full N.Y. attitude on the Green Bay Packers.

I say swap 13 and 15, 2 second round pick this year from Jets, and 3 round pick as conditional pick. If he plays 2025, then it turns into 2 round pick.

If the Jets try to play hardball, as a Packer fan, I'm fine with the Packers blowing up the whole trade. Keep him.

I'm so glad this hasn't dragged on and on. Regards, Methusala

Jets haven’t lost any leverage. So stop the BS narratives. Packers aren’t trying to pay top dollar for 2 QB’s to only start 1 of them.

"Great" advice Mikey if you want to see Douglas and company in the unemployment line. Act/think like your fans and you'll find yourself sitting with them. Go ahead Jets...you just do that.
