That's me, I take zero video. Just picked up the 6d a month ago and love it. I think it's still on sale for 1000 new. I upgraded from a Rebel T5 and I'm so glad I bought it. It's a beast in low light, probably the best astrophotography camera around.

Had a 6D for about 4 years. Great camera, brilliant in low light. Use it for portraits and landscapes would not change it. There are some who criticise the autofocus limitations but for me it is no problem. I use a 7d Mk 2 for wildlife and sport but the 6D is my go to body for everyday shooting. Get one you won’t be disappointed.

I just (late Feb) bought a 6D. 999$ new on B&H. With an SD card, spare battery and a small bag. I needed to change my aging 5D II with a new back up camera. It is a great value for money, and if someone wants to enter the Full Frame game for cheap, Canon or Nikon (especially used) are a great choice. Especially for people that are more into photography. This period reminds me of the time (10-15 years) when people were selling film cameras and lenses for dirt cheap prices. Now with Canikon prices falling in the used market, is the time to get some great gear for pretty good money.

I bought a 6D 4 years ago and I still love it, it produces beautiful images. Its ok at video but no 4k or 120p.

THANK YOU for making this video. I am a canon shooter looking to get into the world of full frame soon and with the recent drop of the 6D original price point wise I have been looking for a video like this in 2018. Coming from a t3i(600d) this will be a fantastic upgrade for me and allow my EF lenses to finally shine as intended. Things I enjoyed about this video: the glam shots of the camera, nice NZXT Manta in the background, I love your website and what it is able to do it seems targeted at budget buyers like myself. I don't bother looking for shutter actuations in used DSLRs until I know the image sensor is in good shape and really clean. That is the most important thing when buying a used camera

A benefit missed with this is the little low light monster factor. Middle point -3EV. Paired with a 40mm f2.8 it's length (front to back) is tiny and light weight. It easily fits in my small satchel bag and is a great walk around.

I got the 6D two years ago with the 24-70 f4L, and I’ve found that it’s a great set up to learn the fundamentals of photography. The limitations have forced me to think about taking photos and be more creative.

I've had my 6D since launch... it's a great camera and still holds up really well in 2018 (even with the somewhat basic AF system). It remains my goto for portraiture stills with my 80D being my goto for sports/action stills and video. I looked at upgrading to the 6Dmk.ii, however I wasn't that impressed so I've decided to hold off until Q1 of 2019 when hopefully Canon will launch a realistic competitor to the Sony A7iii.
I'd also agree with the comments on 85mm f1.8... I use this lens along with my 50mm f1.4, 100mm f2.8 Macro IS, 135mm f2 (plus my 24-105 f4 & 70-200 f4 IS). I'd shoot with my primes any day of the week over my zooms... the quality of them on the FF body is simply awesome!

I got a mint 6D with 12000 miles on it for £500 a few weeks ago. So nice to now see all my 30 year old EF lenses - 28-80 F:3.5 MK1 USM and 70-210 F:3.5 USM (the good quality metal mount ones, not the later plastic plastic ones, check them out on Ebay) working as intended. Even my Yongnuo 50mm F:1.4 now looks epic. Have been using an old £100 40D (also had only 12500 miles) to get the chops and basics right till then. I still love the 40D, last proper stills only camera and I use it for horse/sports events as it has the faster 6.5FPS and gives a bit more reach with my 70-210 lens. 10.1MP is okay as I tend to compose more at the time and 99.9999% of stuff goes up on the web so...


Looking forward to more adventures with the 6D.

Great Video! I have the Canon 80D and thinking about FullFrame and the 6D. You can buy it for 500-600 € on Ebay in Germany. That´s a really nice price. Yeah, a A7III is on the Paper Much better but it cost much more and is it in reality better? I only want to Take photos, no Videos. I Think i buy the 6D in 2019.
