it really depends on the fall but basically skiers legs can move more freely and away from each other so they can do more stuff while snowboarders legs stay together to prevent some injuries but it really depends on the fall

I learned skiing in my late 30''s(a few seasons back) and the reason i choose skiing was because it was easy to start, but it was hard to master (2 knee injuries with a possible ACL but i didn't go to see a doctor). If i was younger, i would definitely try snowboarding

People tend to overestimate their skill on ski. People on snow board learn to speed check, while people on start with ski tend to try and test speed their limit. Took my little cousin to ski, his last run was test limiting his speed and crashed hard.

Took a school party of 30 skiers and 12 snowboarders: 1 skier had a head injury, another broke an arm and needed a plaster cast., 10 of the snowboarders returned home with plaster casts, of whom 1 broke both wrists.

Speed is higher on skis it's a very important factor.

On my opinion they are very close in danger because it depends on what you are doing as on snowboards if you send something (like a backflip or jump off a cliff) and mess up you land yourself in a very dangerous spot with a likely broken neck and/ or spine, while skiing if you mess up sending something you have the same risks but you have an easier way to cushion yourself as skies are from what I have found easier to move in the air but you have increased risks on the ground like crossing legs, getting hit is also a big concern and catching an edge. In conclusion I found skiing safer in the air than snowboards and snowboards safer on the ground than skies. But how about we all just get along and have fun ❤.
