One plus is a winner which has newer chipset...but my vote to note 8 for showing it is still a beast even after longer use...

Note 8 here. My boot up and unlocking by fingerprint are much faster than yours nick. Maybe it is because you have had it longer. I recommend, if you didn't for this test, and a backup using Samsung switch and a fresh factory reset.

Another theory I have is there are bugs worked out over the span of a phone models manufacturing. For instance had a note 5 64gb. Purchased a note 5 64gb for another staff at work. Fresh out of the box theirs was much faster. Even after a factory reset, mine was never more responsive than theirs, with same setup.

Definetely, note 8 is the most complete phone in the market right now (till note 9 is released of course). Personally, i believe that smartphones should offer much more than just 0.2 seconds of extra speed. And that is what samsung does with their phones. Speed doesn't make a smartphone look smart. It just makes it look faster... Excellent video!! Keep up the good work!!

No matter how much specs you put in a budget phone if i had the money i would always go with a dependable flagship like the note from Samsung or any brand that provide the best after buy service
And as a whole the note is more solid
Not saying the one pluse is a bad device it is a very good phone (for the price it offers)

You have double tap home button turned on. That makes it go home slower.

Every phone is hard to go back to after using the OnePlus 6. I have one and am speaking from experience. Get one in your hand s and try it. You'll see and feel unbelievable speed and it's really amazing to use.

That's the thing with the Oneplus 6's pricing, it's just too expensive. I got my 64gb s9+ and a 128gb mmc for the price of a OP6 256gb plus some $ left for a good screenguard and case.

Considering the higher res the note is pushing, the slight difference is negligible. Year by year processors don't make enough difference anymore

OnePlus 6 still rocks in mid 2020, no need an upgrade to OnePlus 8 pro for me, still can run for 1 more year with my OnePlus 6
