This great song and Astradyne by Ultravox are the 2 best instrumental tunes of this era of music. When they played those 2 songs at the clubs, everyone was on the dance floor. My girlfriend who now has been my wife of 38 years and I use to go clubbing in Toronto every Saturday night. That was 43 years ago and we're both 67 now. This great song brings back those fond memories.

When you hear this, just remind yourself that while Mick had a plethora of keys in front of him, Derek's fretwork had to be so pinpoint & precise. This was way way before 5 & 6 string basses!!

Monumental - simply monumental. I can't enough of this track, possible one of their best. It sounded good in the eighties and it still does now.

I was a model in a hair show soon after this song was released in 1981 & this song was played as I walked the runway with a purple wavy concaved bob. Every time I listen to it, it takes me back & it's always remained my favourite Simple Minds song. We had tickets to see Simple Minds' 40 Years of Hits Tour, along with OMD on December 12, 2021, but the tour was cancelled due to ongoing international travel restrictions and uncertainty surrounding national border closures because of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic,  much to our dismay.
