It's better to watch videos from one coach and get the in-person lessons from another. That way you can look at the problems from different sides and understand them better and see different approaches and solutions

While practicing blending my voice through a straw in your video. I noticed that if I inhale in an ujjayi style it is much easier to get on the edge of the vocal chord. Will this help me or am I preventing necessary muscle training by cheating?

The question for me is how fast do you want to progress. I'm okay with not being very good and taking time to get better as an amateur taking pleasure first, but if you want to make some drastic improvement fast, maybe... get a coach ! Haha
