Lake Manitoba is Canada's thirteenth largest lake and the world's 33rd largest freshwater lake. Steep Rock is 2.5 hours drive North of Winnipeg. What makes it different is that its shoreline is covered with pebbly rocks in the shape of steep drops - formed over time as water has eroded the limestone edges of its cliffs. Day activities are available here. There are kayaks and canoes for rent and several hiking and biking trails. Internet connection might be a challenge here so be prepared for family activites and games!
