"Moving out of mom's place" takes a whole new meaning

These toads are some of my favorites simply because I absolutely love watching people freak out or get uncomfortable by them.
Stars bless the Surinam toad.

This triggers my trypophobia worse than even honey combs and lotus seed pods. Especially when all the toadlets are trying to emerge from the holes all at once. ACK!

That's a NOPE giving birth to little NOPES

I think we got them beat. Imagine what the toads' documentaries about humans sound like.
"As you can see here, the baby has developed inside the human mother's belly for almost a year. It then gets pushed out through a really small hole. This process has been known to kill the mother."

As a Trypophobic, I find this absolutely horrifying!

This is unsettling and interesting at the same time.

In school there used to be a girl who had a terrible skin condition. Her skin had these craters that freaked some of us out. Teachers said it was because she scratched when she had the chicken pocks as a child. This video for some reason brought back that memory. When your parents tell you not to scratch please listen to them.

I told you not to feed them after midnight!

I guess I have the opposite of trypophobia. 'Cause that's the gnarliest thing I've ever seen in nature. An amphibian developed the parental strategy of a marsupial - on its back! Damn, that's cool!

I suddenly don't like crumpets any more.

The bumps around the holes, the wiggling out the holes make me itch and skin crawl 🤮🤮🤮

You know, I expected this to trigger my trypophobia so bad, but it's...not as bad as I thought? The holes look pretty regular to me, which grosses me out far less. Also, this is really, really fucking neat.

There's something so satisfying about watching this. Like popping a zit or taking a huge dump, it's a relief to watch those frogs leave it's back.
