Turkish Soap Operas: A Fascination Beyond Borders

My partners, Thouria Mahmoud and Shannon Farhoud, and I put this movie documentary together in Istanbul, Turkey to portray the Arab's world fascination with Turkish soap operas.

Im Bosnian and I watch turkish soap operas all the time. The culture is very very similar to ours.

I'm from Greece and the first Turkish series that seriously rocked the country was Yabanci Damat, you could literally walk out that summer and hear televisions all over the street playing the show.But the second and third seasons of Yabanci Damat were trash, totally subpar.From the many Turkish series that have been played in Greece the ones that were loved the most were mostly Binbir Gece, another one with some Lamia girl and Ezel.Gumus sucked bullocks.

if you dont like arabian culture, dont talk with arabians ok? and dont give wrong informations because all turkish people dont think like you I'm Turkish and I'm muslim I like diffirent cultures I like arabian culture Turkish and Arabians live in the same lands we live in midde east and turkish culture is similar to arabian culture <<this is normal We are muslims! arabians, bosnians, indonesians are our brothers and sisters

When Turks accepted islam back in the day, we have been influenced by arabs a lot until the founder of Turkey, Mustafa kemal came. He broke and ruled out all arabian traditions and tried to bring real Turkish traditions back.

no, they are not, there are Alevis which are about 15-25% of the country and atheists as well.
