Truth! Hon, when I lost my husband of 25 years in 2020, that placating bullshit was the first thing I booted outta my life. Life is entirely too short to put up with it. Just be real, be truthful, be loving. That's all that really matters. I weeded out a LOT of toxic people in my life after that. I have no regrets. I've never looked back. I've never regretted it.
