Slipknot's official audio for "De Sade" from their album 'The End, So Far'.

Lyrics:
I feel it now, a new restraint… a fool is only he who fools again
I needed all the pain you saved to wash across my face like Time began
Everybody lies when they say ‘forever’, no one else will understand
Pull the stitches tight until we sever- break me in your open hands

Please Forget Me Not… I Need Your Simple Pleasures To Be God
Please, My Sweet de Sade… Just Eat My Heart And Twist Me Into Knots

I know I never had a chance, I know I’m wretched and I stand
Seeking all the things you have, if I die with you it’s worth the life
I was just a Nothing wanting something- only you will only do
Everything and more, it comes to nothing- if it doesn’t come with you

Please Forget Me Not… I Need Your Simple Pleasures To Be God
Please, My Sweet de Sade… Just Eat My Heart And Twist Me Into Knots

Something Dominating Nothing
Nothing Animate Is Something Used
Fill Me- Wait a Minute- Kill Me
Feel Me- I Am In The Mood Abuse
Carve Carve Carve-I am Starve Starve Starved
For the Warmth of your Will
And the Edge of your Purest Thrill

De Sade…

If you’re not pushing yourself and taking risks you’re just like everyone else. Slipknot isn’t like everyone else. Thanks for taking risks.

25 years later and they're still one of the coolest bands to ever exist.

This is their most polarizing album since vol. 3. Some people love it. Some people absolutely think it's the worst thing ever because it came from Slipknot. I love that.

It's rare for an entire album to be this badass from beginning to end.

This track is actually a masterpiece, encompasses so many moods/genres/tempos with an incredible structure throughout! Play it live guys, from a newly obsessed fan here.

V-Man's work with the bass on this album is simply immaculate. He has an ability that all great bassists have: The ability to be creative and stand out but not take away from the other instruments.

This album is so diverse, I love it. Kind of like a greatest hits album, but new.

I think this is going to go down as one of those albums that was received kinda poorly at first but will be appreciated for just how unique it was later

I feel sorry for all the Slipknot "fans" that hate the band now because of The End, So Far.

I've listened to the last 3 albums 3x more than the first 4, and I can't stop listening to this one at all.

2:17 Holy sh*t. I've repeated it like 20 times and it still kicks me in another dimension everytime.

0:46 is probably my favorite section of the song. That bass riff is chilling. I didn't catch it my first listen through, but ever since then, on every relisten of the album I restart De Sade easily 10 times. That riff, and the motif of repeat words at the end of verses just fits so well. it's gives off such a uniquely chilling atmosphere that has me coming back consistently.

Absolutely loving the eerie, creepy atmosphere on each song! It's great to see Craig & Sid shine more on these recent albums.
