2020 seems like the year anime is under attack. It's really weird... Not to say there haven't been attempts at damaging the industry previously, but it seems things are amplified this year for some reason.

Banning Japanese style? That could literally mean anything that comes out of Japan. They are not just banning Anime stuff but the entire Japan art industry. Why does the internet kept on getting dumber every day? It's just so numbing at times.

If this is really happenings and anime styled art is starting to get purged from big sites, We need to start paying close attention to places like ResetERA, cause the recent data breach really revealed a lot about who are influencing the anime and gaming industry in the west. Patreon has been woke for some time, but i wouldn't be surprised if there are people from ERA with connections to Patreon staff pulling some strings.

Most shows in the west (children cartoons) are crap or weird these days... On the other hand anime has stayed consistent with both children and young adults. So banning anime in the west is bad business for both east and (mostly) west.

There's no grounds for them to do it withought backlash. And i would imagine many anime content creators will leave and look for other sites if patrion does this.

Patreon is banning people for posts made OUTSIDE of Patreon itself?!?!This would be like a young high school couple getting detention in school for committing "PDA" * in a city park because a spy from their school caught them in that particular act that DOES NOT violate the park's rules, but DOES violate the school rules! The spy in question might be a prefect (a senior student authorized to enforce discipline) or an overzealous hall monitor.

It would also be like that scene from "A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge" in which Jesse Walsh, as a result of sleepwalking, stumbled into an S&M bar (the same one that his school coach, Mr. Scheider, frequented). Then, Coach Schneider caught Jesse at the bar, grabbed him, and drove him to the high school, where he made that unfortunate boy run laps inside the gymnasium as punishment for going into the S&M (Sado-Masochism) bar.
