There was a kid in our school called Sam Beesley. This became the poor guy's theme tune wherever he went for the rest of time...

That's my music teacher Andy Murray on the keyboards. He taught at Longhill High School in the 1980s.
He revolutionised school assemblies by convincing the headmaster that kids didn't want to sing hymns and got us singing Beatles songs and other stuff instead!
I have vivid memories of him and the headmaster, Richard Morley, arguing about the subject at the front of the school assembly. Those were great days at that school.

R.I.P Bob Grover ...great renditions off Tom Hark & Zambesi... Thank God I have both off these on vinyl and The Piranhas on cassette format and long player . Wish 🤞 the record company would release your debut album on cd 💿 ❤❤❤❤

Andy Murrey was my music teacher at Patcham Fawcett High School between 1977-1981. I was trumpeter in his school band and Jazz band. I still play now in Feb 2025.
Great days🎺🎶🎵.

Oh my days. I heard this on the radio and had to Google who it was as I remember it from the 80’s when growing up . What a quirky little performance. Those back up girls are so camp. Loved it!! 💙

The girls (Maz & Kim) were backup singers for Paul Young "Come back and stay" and "Gonna tear your play house down"

Why did I wake up one day in November 2017 and have an irresistible urge to watch this video?

Oh my god when I was 5 yrs old my sister bought me this record because it was my favourite at the time. No wonder with a musical parrot. I ended up loving The Prodigy so there was a definite change of direction in my choice of music! 🤣

a very ignored classic that gets left out of the 'YOUR ULITMATE '80S soundtrack' style compilations

wow! that brings back memories It's now 2021 and it's the first time I've heard this version; love it but i also loved the versions by Lou Busch and Eddie Calvert way back in the late 1950s :-)

LOL So I didn't dream this! :D I was only little in 1982, but I actually love this act now, great fun! :-) New fan! :-) Weird how music never leaves your brain! I probably only ever heard this once 40 years ago but it sounds exactly like I remember! (Apart from I remembered the rhythm being slightly more Latin, but that's a minor detail.)
