I started in January. I have took vacation 3 times already, just got approved for 3 days off for bereavement, im stress free, im bringing home about 3800-4k after taxes every 2weeks, i have an assigned tractor where im the only one driving it, i just got half of my 5k bonus for referring someone, i kinda wish i came years ago, this job is gravy, and i was an independent operator for 17yrs with multiple trucks. Yes i gave more income but this stress is extremely minimal here. But i love this job. And im not just saying this because i work here.

Well done video. I’m going to take a serious hard look at driving for Walmart, THANK YOU! You’ve just outlined my exact check list for job satisfaction. Safety, professionalism, quality equipment and efficient dispatch with respect at the top of my list. Now living in New Hampshire (from San Diego) I had never shopped Walmart. Now, I have three very well run stores all within 20 miles. I’ve become a loyal customer and fan of Walmart and am constantly impressed with their comitiment towards excellence in all they do. Now, you’ve confirmed this in the video just how well run and respectful Walmart is to their teams of employees.

I agree with you on Walmart drivers being seen as professional. I started driving in 98 with Millis Transfer and my trainer Jim who had 30 years experience would always point out the Walmart drivers and say that’s where you want to be 25 years from now when you have a clean beamish free license . Back then it was all cab over Internationals but I never saw an unkempt driver or truck . Still to this day Walmart have a great image .

I'm heading to Onboarding next week in Dover, DE. Hopefully I get in because I've heard nothing but good things about driving for Walmart. I'll be running out of Lewiston so maybe I'll see you out there!

So I was under the impression the onboarding was scheduled for the nearest DC to the candidate/applicant. Now I have to plan for reserving a rental 🚘 to travel from Tampa to SC to attend onboarding 🤷‍♂️

I 100% agree with ALL of it! Culture, people, food (even BBQ steak) and truck driving rodeos (mechanics included) I placed 3rd 😊
