A Look into USNA's Plebe Summer

Follow me into an exclusive look into what plebes have to go through during plebe summer. Plebe summer is the "boot camp" phase at the Naval Academy where freshmen make their first induction into the Brigade of Midshimen.

If you didn't know, my name is Justin Chu and I am currently a sophomore studying Robotics and Control Engineering at the US Naval Academy. I currently play Division 1 Water Polo at USNA and am looking into making new vlogs about my journey in college.

Looks like you midshipmen have it easy! USMA 1988 grad here. Interesting that you did live fire training with pistols -- not once did I get to use one as a cadet (everything small arms were rifle, machine gun, or grenade launcher).

I'm currently a freshman in high school and have been looking to get into the Naval Academy for years now. Currently, I maintain pretty good grades and take all honors classes along with one AP course. I'm involved in student government, I play an instrument, and I play JV baseball and wrestling. I know the importance of checking the boxes off early, so I'm looking for any suggestions to get ahead before applying.
