I remember compiling the kernel in slackware in the 90's ... computers were much faster once drivers that were not going to be used were removed ...

Congratulations Kiran on being a father! All the best. I was wondering you might be busy with some project but this is wonderful news! Again as usual something new to learn and looking forward for more. I am occupied with learning the new architecture RISC-V that's taken up a lot of development in cpu space. Let me know and we can discuss about it.

Sir, What about the Cross Compilation of any kernel module on the host Machine? Let's say if i want to build a .ko out of this for arm or RISC-V architecture? I need to pass another parameter CROSS_COMPILE, (CROSS_COMPILE=<arm-toolchain-path/bin->) right?

Also can u make a video on how to create our own .deb or .rpm package from any source? Lets say a .ko as a .deb package or a C/C++ application bundled as a .deb package. How to create out own systemctl services also developing our own daemons?
