I'll compare gaming quality vs QN90A next! Indexed Timestamp later this evening. Are you a Hisense fan yet? IMAX mode is like bad Filmmaker mode - locks you out of motion adjustments. I'll go into the various picture modes and settings in another video.

I have the h9g. You can turn off that "hey Google" buy going into the then select microphone and delete all apps permissions. This is working for me great.

You can physically turn off the microphone underneath the TV near the physical power button. There is a switch for the microphone to turn it off.

It would be great to see more flagship comparisons of the affordable brands Vizio, Hisense, and TCL. Both against one another and against higher end counter parts. For the dollar, these brands easily compete with the higher name brands.

Thank you for the review, now I just need to wait for a 55" review because I'm max 3 feet from my wall and 65" would melt my eyes.

Sounds like Hisense wants to take down Sony and Samsung! I LIKE IT.. We need more competition in this segment.😃 Great vid!

6 more days until my 65” U8G is delivered! I waited for this TVs to be released so I could upgrade from my H9F.

You didn't mention anything about video gaming at 120hz. Something I was looking for in this review.

You got to wonder if it's a cherry picked tv since Hisense picked it out for FOMO to review. Will the rest of us get similar quality?

From now on, I'm going to take what reviewers whether it's YouTube or RTINGS with a grain of salt. A lot of them were saying that the H9G is almost just as good as the x950h.
"The H9G is the best TV you can get under $1000." I would probably agree to that at 65". I purchased the 55" because of all the great reviews, and have had it for 3 months now. It was night and day better than my Samsung 7 series crystal, but for twice the price, it should be. Now, the reason I won't 100% believe reviewers, is because I bought the x950 in 65", and people were saying "The H9G is just as good as the x950h for $600-700 less." I partially agree with that. For the price, it's a great budget TV, however, the Sony is still far superior in every aspect. For example, RTINGS gave the H9G an 8.4/10 vs the Sony 8.3/10 overall, and said it has a much better contrast ratio. My eyes tell me the contrast on the Sony looks much better. The motion is obviously much better. The blooming on the H9G is terrible, whereas the Sony's isn't.

If someone says "The Hisense or TCL xxx series is great for the price in comparison", I'll agree. But, if someone tries to say those budget brands are AS GOOD as Sony's or Samsung's, I'm not believing it unless I first see them for myself.

For me, I need that dark room performance. That was just too much light bleed for me on the Star field test. But everything was impressive. Especially the contrast. They need more local dimming zones to bring down that blooming in a Star field test. But Hisense is almost there.

Thanks for getting this out early. Very interested in gaming and if the 2.1 is full bandwidth...

The red ghosting is probably part of the panel. LG had a similar problem on their low response time IPS monitor panels, the KFS red phosphor decay lagged behind other sub pixels by a tiny bit. Humans pick up on these things quite readily even at high refresh rates. I suspect the red ghosting is reduced when motion processing settings are high because the panel is interpolating more frames thus it can't hold the same frame for as long, it could also be strobing to reduce persistence but I don't know how Hisense handles it.

Can't verify it, since I don't currently use Android TV, but I've seen a couple people claiming you can turn off the microphone using: then disable the microphone function

Man, i loved my H9g but ended up returning it because of the red ghosting blur and ended up getting the LG CX, if the H9g did not have that red issue it robably would have been my choice ( considering cost of course )

I use Smart-TV features so rarely that the difference between the Android and Tizen platforms is negligible to me. If that is the only real weakness of the Hisense TV I'd probably save some cash and opt for the U8G. The one concern I might have is long-term reliability - I wonder if the budget brands offer the same type of build quality as the major Korean and Japanese companies. For example, I've heard from several owners of Vizio models that their TVs started having problems after just a couple years of use (though I don't know if the same is true of Hisense). Unfortunately, reliability isn't something that can be evaluated in an initial review. I'm not the type of person who replaces his TV every 2 years, so when I buy a TV I want it to last.

Some more info on how the TVs would perform with gaming would be really nice. Thanks for the review. the red blur is definitely someone that I didn't know about.

Ugh it's so hard to choose between TVs nowadays with a $2, 000 budget

Fist Samsung TV I purchased needed to have the screen replaced 2 time. I then bought two 34 inch Samsung ultra wide computer monitors which had dead pixels all over. I've gotten rid of all things Samsung in my house and switched to other brands that are more reliable. I picked up this Hisnse specifically to replace that Samsung that needed the screen to be replaced 2 times.

You gotta get a meter bro. Take your reviews to the next level and provide some numbers to compare. Numbers aren't everything though, thanks for the direct comparisons and head to head info.
