Believe it or not I’m a rock and even a heavy metal guy, but I do appreciate good talent and even more talented song writers, this is a rare song with refreshingly honest and great lyrics. I appreciate good music no matter what the genre is, and this is probably one of the best out there. most musicians could take a few lessons out of this song. Great work and a song i think most people who have the sense and Taste should notice immediately that this is no ordinary song and also most people can relate to this at some point in their lives. This song makes me cry everytime. I was in an on and off relationship with my soul mate for almost 5 years. We had so many adventures together and experiences. I kept pushing him into other relationships because I felt true love was just a lie and it would end if I even tried. He started talking to this girl (I pushed him to go for it since we weren't together at the time). Biggest mistake of my life. We spent our last moments together 2 years ago (girl was pregnant and I wasn't reliable). The last adventure was the hardest, we both knew it was the last. We camped in the desert out in the open (I forgot the tent poles) with the dogs and watched a meteor shower. I haven't spoken to him since and I still think of him every day and wish I would have made smarter decisions. Our love was a literal fantasy until the end even with the hardships. I kick myself every day we dont speak. I truly do worry about never loving like that again
