Landslide (Fleetwood Mac) || PROG ROCK Cover by Ro Panuganti

Never expected a Fleetwood Mac cover on this channel, but it's 2020..

As we wind down the intense covers of 2020 and I move into 2021, I wanted to set the stage for how I'm treating my music and musicality. I'm still working hard on vocal technique to be on par with music I want to write, and visiting music that's deeply part of my life helps! Another special thanks to @TeraCMusic who helped review and coach me on this one! Fleetwood Mac is one of the first bands I probably ever heard, and I know the entire album Rumours front to back.. but this track off their self-titled still felt a bit more within reach. I wanted to try doing largely acoustic covers of classic rock to practice singing, but this song lent itself well to a hybrid progressive/modern arrangement too! I drew a lot of ideas from The Contortionist's Rediscovered renditions and put in a few synthesizers and guitars to create a more ambient ethereal vibe!

Visually I also did a much simpler and cleaner look, opting to do a desaturated 1-light setup to match the simplicity of what you're hearing. While experimentation is a huge part of my channel, I want to become okay with consistency too since it seems to help me perform better and spend less time on the silly things. I've shared on my socials that my #1 priority in 2021 is my original EP first, so you'll likely see just one cover a month and far less VGM. While that might seem disappointing to some of you, I guarantee these original songs have the same energy, guitar playing, and creativity I try to put into the game stuff.

Well done! This is such a powerful song. I'm sure I've heard it a lot over the years, but it really stood out to me hearing it again on the radio recently.
