I think the story is canon . He just didn't use ssj4 because daima came after super even if the story takes place before. Having ssj4 canon was a gift for the fans. It does matter if it's a plothole. Dbz who came after Dragon ball had plotholes, and super who came after dbz had plotholes. So, honestly it's not a big deal. Can't wait to see ssj4 in DBs combined with ultra instinct

The scene when Goku dodged the ki blasts by flipping mid air was so beautiful and cool at the same time.
SS4 looked so powerful!!

I knew Goma pulled Goku into another dimension but wow, I wasn't expecting them to break it like in the Broly vs Gogeta fight!
