Here’s a reminder. When Yakuza 7 was in development, the devs posted an April Fools trailer (don’t know which year) that showed that the game was gonna be a turn-based RPG. However, the reception to the trailer was overwhelmingly positive. Positive to the point that the devs restarted the project as a full on RPG. And lo and behold, Yakuza: Like a Dragon went on to be a critical and commercial success.

For what I understand. The entertaining industry use April fool's as a bridge to try new stuff's every now and then. If suceded they make reallity, but if fail, only reminaing as a joke.

I have to say that I still enjoy it when content creators take the opportunity of April Fools' to actually make content, like applying the usual formula of their channel to something totally absurd.

You know I only made one April fool's video short. yesterday and it was really just because everyone wants to put an age on an anime character. so I made the joke saying I will marry every anime characters someone puts an age on. on the perfect holiday of April fools it didn't work out as planned but I think I got my point across. honestly I totally agree with you the holiday is overrated by now. so there's not much else I could say.

Yeah my coworker got a text yesterday from his girlfriend saying she got fired as a April fools joke. Well the coworker went on a rant about how he is leaving her that night because she doesn't do anything and all her friends are pill to say he fucking hated April fools.
