Meta Knight for the Kirby series, gets an Amiibo that has a more cartoon-inspired design than its Smash counterpart. This new line of Amiibo have a blue base, a star design on the top part of the base, and come in a new pose compared to the Super Smash Bros. Amiibo. Amiibo are not only collectible figures resembling the trophies from the Super Smash Bros. series, they also have a computer chip in their base which allows them to be scanned over the Near Field Communication (NFC) part of the Wii U Gamepad to interact with Nintendo Wii U games, and 3DS games.

I like to think that the reason this meta knight is different from the smash bros one is because of play style the wings represent his arial fighting style while this stance is more like a traditional swords man
