Strangely enough, the KDL3 boss theme sounds a lot like an unfinished version of Kirby 64's boss theme.

There's not much of a difference between the two lol. K64 and kdl3 used samples from the same Roland synth, just one was much more compressed

K64 is like the cooler KDL3 boss theme lmao
Both are good still, and I love a lot the imagination and liberties boss fights had, like walking Whispy Woods, the second underwater boss in the series, the second duo bosses, Adeleine and his multiple phases and King DDD

No wonder why the remixed version of Ripple Field 1 on 64 was still faithful to the original, the soundfont on 64 is basically an upgraded version of the KDL3 one that uses a few more instruments.
