___________

From an early age Rupert Spira was deeply interested in the nature of reality. At the age of seventeen he learnt to meditate, and began a twenty-year period of study and practice in the classical Advaita Vedanta tradition under the guidance of Dr. Francis Roles and Shantananda Saraswati, the Shankaracharya of the north of India. During this time he immersed himself in the teachings of P. D. Ouspensky, Krishnamurti, Rumi, Ramana Maharshi, Nisargadatta and Robert Adams, until he met his teacher, Francis Lucille, in 1997. Francis introduced Rupert to the Direct Path teachings of Atmananda Krishna Menon, the Tantric tradition of Kashmir Shaivism (which he had received from his teacher, Jean Klein), and, more importantly, directly indicated to him the true nature of experience. Rupert lives in the UK and holds regular meetings and retreats in Europe and the USA.

Eckhart Tollle's pointings helped with the recognition of what I am not, what we are not (the ego). 2005-2014. Mooji's pointings helped with the recognition, direct experience, maturing and abiding as who I truly Am. 2014-2024. And now André and Rupert not only describe this slow, continually revealing process that I have experienced, but describe the next step in the process, the unique expression as who I truly am as well as the seeing of the one being in all and every one. I have been experiencing what I refer to as a calling coming forth from the depths of my being to share my own, unique experience of awakening, and this interview has helped me to understand that this is what is happening. And seeing everyone as God or All That is, has been a new practice for me, but seems to be integrating quickly as an abiding state of consciousness. Another lotus petal opens. 💓Thank you!

I have spent hundreds of hours over the past few years studying Rupert's teachings—through his books, his videos, and conversations with him. This conversation beautifully encapsulated and conveyed all his understanding, so much so that I would say it was my absolute favorite discussion and video. Thank you for that!

Additionally, I find it wonderful to see that Rupert is now reaching so many people. Thank you, André, for this amazing podcast!

Every second of this conversation is incredibly valuable and enlightening . The questions André asks are remarkable and the answers so perfect, well explained, understandable and clear. This podcast is such a beautiful dance between these 2 beautiful souls and is full of wisdom, love and super-practical and not lost in philosophy or ideas but truly helpful and clear. I love that this was shared on the same day as the US Election. It’s great with all the ego bickering going on, someone else sees the Truth. Thank you :).

I was mind blown and so excited for two days the fact that i had to finish watching this gave me joy.... "Peace and quiet joy are your true nature and you share that being with everyone and everything" .... Wow what a conversation... Hope he comes on again... Need to rewatch this... Pretty flow state stuff... He's been so crucial in my journey... In a hazy drugged mazey state... His words are pointers to peace and God... Rupert Spira is what one should watch and listen if they ever feel too lost on this life thing. Bless you Andre you're an inspiration and actually living my dream haha the last nite of gratitude was so touching ❤

When I began listening to this chat I felt totally lost in the content. About three quarters of the way through I realised that what was being discussed was the same as the understanding I already had in my individual way. The approach was just totally new for me. I am glad I percevered until the end. Thank you 😊
