So I went a different direction on my scrap butcher block. I couldn't think of a good want to get is all clamped in both directions at the same time. I glued each row end grain to end grain first. I used a dowel in the end of each end grain block to help with alignment. After getting the end grain to end grains done I had each row and then glued them up like a standard cutting board. The pro for that method is that I had almost zero gaps between the end grain glue ups. The con is that oh my, it creates a lot of extra work and time. Next time I may do it as you did so I'll then have done both ways to compare which was best for me. Great job, love the vids.

I use mineral oil for anything that's going to have food processed on it. My main concern is the safety of it, and I know my mineral oil is safe because it's sold as a laxative. I don't want to worry about the pureness of it.
