This SP has been the only one that I keep replaying since Mao retired. No matter how other excellent skaters break this record, this is still the best masterpiece in my mind.
If I didn't accidentally watch Mao's performance on Youtube, I wouldn't be so fascinated with the beauty of figure skating. What a legendary skater.

Had she performed like this at the Olympics...So elegant and poetic. So feminine and graceful. A true ballerina. So soft and Just a beautiful soul on the ice. Every movement matched the music.

The ending of this performance never fails to make me cry. To see the audience leaping to their feet before Mao reaches her ending pose after a flawless short program despite the disaster that happened in Sochi.... there will never be an artist like Mao on the ice again. Thank you Mao for all you’ve done for this sport!

What a effortless skating . She didn’t stroke so much on the ice, just floating on the ice and it’s very airy performance.
