10 Countries with the Fewest Atheists. (Some real shockers)

Today we are talking about countries with the smallest portion of the population that claim to be atheists. If you don’t know what atheism is, it can simply be explained as a person who doesn’t believe in God or some other higher power. There are several flavors of atheism that I’m not going to get into, we are just broad brushing with people that don’t believe in the big man upstairs.
In the video where we looked at countries with the most Athiest, I said there will be people in the comment section talking about the different types of Atheists and how I just can’t label them all as atheists. I was right, they showed up.
That being said this time I will go a step further and include the numbers for convinced Atheists and none religious people.

I miss spelled Colombia. Sorry. We have the Columbia River here and I guess I wasn't paying attention. Sorry.

Fun fact: The Vatican City’s population is actually 100% religious

It was ironic that Spain 🇪🇸 is becoming atheist nation but brought Christianity ✝️ to South American nations and the Philippines 🇵🇭.

I am from the Philippines and lived in Thailand for 4 years and I can confirm both nations do deserve to be on this list... :)

Having religion is different from being religious.
Quite easy to measure having religion, but it would find difficulties when one to measure religiosity (being religious).

I imagine in some very religious countries many who are atheists won't dare to openly admit it because of family and peer pressure. It's almost like you're rebelling .

Thailand may be the country where the greatest percentage subscribe to a generally recognised religion, but by some accounts, Buddhism, and particularly the SE Asian tradition, is an atheist belief system.

Will you do an American version of the least and most religious states and cities in America 🇺🇸, Briggs? That would be awesome and interesting…

7:17-7:46 not too sure why when talking about Ghana 🇬🇭 you use stock videos of Gold Coast - Australia 🇦🇺 😅😂

I would have thought that Vatican City, being a country in itself, would be the most religion with 106% being Catholic. 😆

I enjoy your videos. I've been living in Ghana for the last 4 years and they are very religious but I'm questioning some of the video footage you showed during that segment. I've never seen modern sky scrapers along the beach. That footage looked more like UAE.

At 3:41 you showed an image of Bulgaria lmao :)) anyways great video. You can actually see the Cyrillic alphabet used on the buildings, alphabet that we don’t use.
PS i think Poles and the Maltese are a bit more religious than us.

I lived in Thailand for 5 months back in 1993 after I got out of the Army. I was a keyboard player there in a cover band and got to live in the Grand Hyatt Erawan in Bangkok with all expenses paid. It was AWESOME! The Thai people were all SUPER NICE and I nearly fell in love every day, LOL Great memories! :)

Having met and spoken with Buddhists, I know that some adherents practise it as a religion, and others only as a philosophy for living. One devout Buddhist told me his whole family followed Buddhism as strongly as himself, but he (and they) had no belief in any supernatural power. In the context of this video, I think it is important to discriminate between the spiritual and atheistic forms of Buddhism.

I'm not even surprised to see Philippines in this list. As a non-religious person, it makes me sad when people automatically assume that you're a bad person just because you don't believe in religion. It's kinda sad. I once got into an argument with my father just because I told him I don't really believe in his religion. And mind you, I said it nicely. He got so mad and accused me of being an evil person who's influenced by the devil. When I told him, I want to move out and live on my own as I don't feel close emotional bonds with the family, he blames it on the devil. Seriously, I tried my best to get close to them and open up to them emotionally but they always shut me down. They even used religion as an form of manipulation to make me blindly do as they say. My mom even said you should help people even when they are being horrible to you.

I've also seen so many people get into petty arguments due to religion. In this country, there are many forms of christianity and they often argue amongst themselves on which one is right or wrong.

I often had to hide that I'm non-religious to avoid being judged.

Very interesting! If you ever want to do this subject again, I think it would be interesting to break it down even more: Top 10 Most Christian Countries, Top 10 Most Muslim Countries, etc. etc.
