You're one of the few channels that just focus on everything sailing, explaining why you do things honestly. Great work, no dramas just good old sailing 👍

I keep telling people: Buy an old Hobie, get some camping gear and you will have the vacation of a lifetime... LOVE your videos btw. They are more adventurous than most other dinghy cruising channels. but I like those as well.

Hey Igor, me and a friend of mine sailed from Monfalcone to Vodice in Croatia this August, with a hobie 16. We sailed 450 km in 2, 5 weeks. It was a great adventure. And i was inspired from your previous sailing videos. Thanks for that.

Find a partner who talks about you the way Igor talks about his hat. 😍

I never realized how crazy my parents were. I've never seen a hobie cat sailed on two hauls ever. Or in such low wave conditions. I've been on a hobie cat in lake michigan with 1-2 meter waves riding on one haul only for entire trips. Also, i've never seen a hobie cat without the wings. It honestly put me off of sailing for most of my life because of how scary going 20+ knots while suspended in the air over the boat is while slicing through big waves. My only tip would be to look into a hanging stove system, it's easier than cooking on the trampoline. Very easy to attach to the boom and works even if the water is choppy, it self plumbs itself because its hanging.

I have NEVER watched a 3 hour video on YouTube...until now. I am really enjoying your 1100km sail. Absolutely loved the beer delivery system you have worked out. I subscribed

Thanks fro the history lesson about the Genoa. My grandfather was from Genoa. Your video brings back fond memories of sailing my Hobie 16 on the Gulf of Mexico with my dog as my first mate.

Great video. Love the simplicity of the trip, back to basics, all sailing. At the same time it shows what a beautiful sea you have there. Well done

Just stumbled onto this and I have mad respect for you. I wouldn't spend more than a day on my boat (defender 27 foot sailboat) if it didn't have a cabin to do my things in and store my stuff.
Really cool how your boat moves with so little wind. I need at least 3-5 knots of wind to get my boat moving at all.

THANKS FOR THE SAIL! It was really great of you to take us along. Here's to Poseidon, and the sailing Gods my friend!

I've recently been fascinated with all that is sailing & wound up here on your channel. I watched all 3 hours & loved every minute - thanks for being so thorough in your explanations. Some day I hope to have these type of adventures on the seas.

Adventure upgrades... Add some large gym mats to your tramp for wave protection, a sculling oar off the stern for power, wing seats with gear pods help prevent capsizing.

Great video Igor. In 1977 I sailed in the Worrell 1000 (Then it was called “The Worrell Brothers Coastwise Race”). A race from Ft. Lauderdale to Virginia Beach, VA, on Hobie 16’s. The Rules: 1) The boat had to be compliant with and sailed in accordance with Hobie 16 class rules. 2) You had to call Race Control in VA Beach once every 24 hours. 3) Each boat had a 3 man crew, 2 on 1 off (The off crew drove the car to the next destination). 4) First boat there wins. Eleven boats in the field, four finished. Our boat came in 4th, 4 days after the first place boat finished. It was an exhausting race. I wanted to quit after my first 12 hour stint on the boat. We also sailed at night. It was a victory just in completing the race.
