You forgot the most important tips of all: don’t be nasty to the cashier if a price doesn’t come up right. They do not memorize prices. They simply scan the item and collect the payment. A little kindness goes a long way and in light of COVID many grocery stores are understaffed and overworked.

The tip about the frozen vegetables is spot on, and I have been using it for the last 13 months, because many times, the shipments of fresh vegetables don't always arrive on time when I am in the store for my once a week shopping trip. Thus, for many dishes, I head on over to the frozen food section.

I worked in a horticultural packing plant, all fruit and veg will dehydrate over time, the rate just varies. App, es (what I packed) are packed with up to a buffer of 15% (again, where I worked) this was the same for other products we packed, nectarines, peaches and apricots.

Look for spices in the Hispanic food section instead of with all of the other spices. They will be cheaper. I don't know for sure if this works everywhere, but there is a store locally near me that works for this.

The FLIPP app is awesome for looking at a lot of different store's ads without having to download each one's app or go to different websites.

The items with (some of) the highest protit margins or mark-ups are the "impulse" purchase items on the racks at checkout. Resist the temptation!

The items priced at the best per unit will be located on the shelves that are not at eye level. Gotta reach or bend those knees for the best deals!
