Really tasty - both on rhythm and lead. That is not an easy solo to cop. Believe me, I’ve tried.

fantastic job as usual rob!!
the album recording kinda sounds like the solo was done in section takes? i'm not taking anything from glenn, but i haven't heard a live recording where he plays it like the studio cut.
how about doing the "rock forever" solo off the same lp? not as intense as this, but still takes crazy dexterity.

Man!, I thought I had this solo down accurate! You got it down perfect!

Fucking awesome. One of the most exciting solos in metal in my opinion. Hope you don't mind me using your version to learn it sir - it's cleaner and more precise than the real thing so should be able to slow it down nicely. Apparently Tipton was quite a loose player and was constantly being called out by the drummer... Mind you.. That was from kks autobiography so..

Perfect. Always wanted to learn this solo but was too lazy, maybe with this I will.

Rob, I just need that chromatic run at the 12th fret. Is it 12 slide to 13. 14 hammer to 15 hammer to 16 on the G string? Then 14 hammer to 17 on the B string. 12 slide to 14, hammer to 15, hammer to 16 on G, 14 hammer to 17 on B string.? That's what I'm getting.

Hey, Rob. Quick question. On that riff coming out of the solo, everyone does a doublestop 1/2 step bend, release, pull -off. But Andy Sneaps and Richie Faulkner do a doublestop 1/2 step slide up and back to a pull off. Thoughts?
