Back in 2007, my Wife gave me money to buy a guitar .... under the condition that it didn't have a Floyd Rose because, she said I sounded too much like Yngwie on acid .
So I got an 2007 Alpine White Epiphone LPC, I dropped in a Wilkinson Roller bridge, a Schaller tailpiece with fine tuners, a Seymour Duncan Triple Shot pickup ring for the neck position, more aggressive sounding pickups and better pot, caps and Wiring.

Next thing I know, the Epiphone LPC, stayed in tune better, sustained better than my 1974 Gibson LPC .

I just bought a Epiphone Les Paul traditional pro 4 for 500 bux over memorial day sale at guitar center. They had a 35%off sale on everything so a 800 dollar guitar quickly became less than 500... I had a 300 dollar Jackson js22 seven string that I bought and three days later I literally took the Jackson back and applied the money towards the Epiphone Les Paul.... I absolutely love the Epiphone it sounds amazing and is beautiful to the eye the feel is awesome and the tone from the alnico pickups give me some monster tone .... Love it

I have it, beautiful, after careful setup by the luthier and some details taken care of it has nothing to envy of the Gibsons. She sounds amazing and is also very versatile.

Played one of these in the store and it was awesome! The new mustaine Kramer is pretty good too. Maybe only worth the price tag if you’re a megadeth fan though.

I recently found an Epi LP Trad Pro IV Goldtop that has the most amazing tone and feel of any Epiphone ive ever played. Faded finish, chunky neck, 8.5 lbs.. it feels vintage and brand new at the same time. And very sweet tone with no harshness. Easily as great as my Gibsons.

I love the work coming out of the Chinese epiphone factory.
Whoever quality assurance tech #8 is, thank you for my amazing SG muse!

I just picked up a Harley Benton bass for 90 euros while I was Germany and carried it back with me on the plane. It's by far better than most Gibsons in quality and construction. There, I said it.

I've only had 4 Gibsons my whole life, but all of them have been flawless. The only Epiphone I've had was an SG, and it was also flawless. Guess Im just lucky

For what it's worth, speaking as a tech, if you're concerned about expensive shiny things that don't make any overall difference in the performance (i.e. tubes, tone wood, humbuckers, name on the headstock), you shouldn't be concerned about whether or not they include locking tuners. Locking tuners do NOT stabilize tuning, as once the string is around the post at least twice it will not slip back out. They DO VERY slightly reduce the time it takes to change strings, but overall the biggest impact is on how much you can resell the guitar for. The also contribute a lot to neck dive as they increase the headstock weight quite a bit.

epiphone 335 side by side with a Gibson was a crazy difference in feel and sound.

I now own the epiphone. No lie took both for a test drive on my amp in my home studio and it wasn’t even a choice to be made. The finish, hardware attention to detail, nut slots and fret dressing was just miles above the Gibson.

I paid $550. The Gibson was returned. That cost me $3, 125 out the door with a case. It went back 48 hours later. I was SHOCKED.

I’m not a Gibson fan as it is and mostly play high gain material. But the lesser of the two evils was epiphone.

05 Dot Studio. Love it! I’ve had a 59 Gibson LP Jr, 68 LP Deluxe, 81 LP Custom. Sure these are worth more and cooler but I love my Dot!

My Epiphone is still kicking and stays in tune, neck straight, the only problem I had was the frets needed filing when I got it, 20 years later still a beast. My Gibson well, lets just say I need to tune it every time I pick it up.

My Epi Explorer is got the mojo, I have the Brendon Smalls Galaktikan burst, with a Floyd.
Properly set up it sounds absolutely brilliant. The Black V you have is my next step, but I would like to play a few to make sure it has the vibes, along with a Firebird down the road.
I also have a Schecter E-1 tobacco buet the is absolute heavenly, it needs nothing, the pickups in it oh my! Super quiet when clean and quality instruments.

My Fender has locking tuners. They make a really big difference. By the way, nice guitar you have there.
