For the record, Nick Szabo was wrong. Bitcoin is indeed Turing Complete. The looping is done via payment channels.

This is the panel that convinced me. He clearly knew the intention behind everything that Bitcoin was designed to do, way beyond what all of the other team's experts had conceived of. All anyone cared about was Bitcoin as money (and getting rich from price appreciation).

In hindsight it's so obvious what he was saying.
This was Oct2015 !? ... before Wired and Gizmodo outed CSW as Satoshi in Dec 2015.
Satoshi gave the world Bitcoin but the Devs (with big corp. backing) took control in his absence then since did everything possible to shut CSW down and keep him away, because they know who he is.
Segwit and Taproot are an example.

You can do micro transactions to update code state, if you want to do more looping on local machines you can do that but nodes are for updating data not running your private code. Nick is confused. Craig was spot on.

I remember watching this and closely observing Nick Szabo and his nervous body language assuming he was Satoshi as he was a likely candidate. Only a few months later Craig's cover was blown. This exchange is historic gold.

He was trying to his identity as Satoshi but still communicate the mission of Bitcoin. Its so obvious that he's trying to show the potential of Bitcoin because everyone didn't know its capabilities.
