The affordable muscle car. Or, at least, maybe it used to be. The last remaining muscle car left, the Ford Mustang, demands a lot of money for the privilege of owning one. Is it worth it? That's what we find out on this episode of EatSleepDrive.

I'm a bit of an old soul as well, and thought I'd hate the big screen. I actually like it a lot. I change my gauge cluster every few days to freshen it up. My favorite is normal mode, but then I'll rock the fox body, cobra, or 60's gauges sometimes as well. I really enjoy being able to do that.

All cars manufacturers have gone crazy since 3 years... But now they will suffer the consequences!

Solid review bro! Agree with your assessment!

The car manufacturers are gonna start getting hurt quite soon. Nobody has 100 grand to spend on a truck. 60+ grand for a regular mustang? You’re nuts.

I’ll buy used every time.

Just get a GT350 or M2. My base 15 5.0 mustang 6 speed was $28k 0% $400 month $90 full coverage was great for that price

G'day from Mustang mad Australia. All 1000 Dark Horse are pre sold for well over the $100k plus mark. The GT still has optional MR dampers, recaro seats also. At close to $81k plus. We also don't get the package for Dark Horse with bigger wheels and spoiler, it doesn't meet Australian Design rules. Tires cannot stick out of wheel arches. Another $6k US. Probably over $10k for that package, wow. Love that V8 sound. AUSSIES LOVE V8s. Cheers.

Cool car, Kurt. Love the exhaust note - particularly since it can be toned down to avoid pissing off the neighbours.
Any thought of doing another AMG series? I loved the vicarious experience of watching you suffering through the travails of Mercedes ownership. Videos like your's ensure I will never buy one myself and be content with admiring the cars and their long suffering owners from afar.

Just wait until you see the prices on the 2025 GTs! Ford changed some option packages and raised prices on other options, so most builds in the real world are $4, 000-$5, 000 more expensive than just last year. Oh yeah, and they removed the wireless charger, so you're actually getting marginally less car for significantly more money. The S650 already barely made a dent in Mustang sales, and I'm sad to say that the prices for the 25s are likely only going to make this worse. Competition was good for the consumer.

HP isnt the problem, its the factory tuning. We got robbed on potential.

They did more to figure out ways to up-charge than they did to actually bring us a new car. However, there are actually a lot of GT 350 and GT 500 parts underneath the car and in the rear end. The modernization and interior upgrades are welcome, but this car is now more for hairdressers than hotroders. The car is untunable and isn't faster than the last generation. BTW< if they can make it untunable, why can't they make it unstealable? Also, you are 100% right about the steering feel, but I have gotten used to it in the few moths Ive driven the car and with some upgrades, it handles better than a 4k lb car should.

Isn't that simple just get a Dark Horse if the price reaches 58k Dark Horse is hard to find and some places still changing mark up for Dark Horse The GT with performance package is easy to find and there's no mark up sometimes you can even get some discount i bought one and I'm very happy i also had a GT350 2019

Can you use menu to turn off this annoying spinning Mustang graphics ? Because I assume it gets old quite fast.

Not a fan of the Elantra notch at the rear. It's not a good look on either this or the two Hyundai sedans.

2024 Mustang GT starts at $42, 000. If you check enough boxes, it can hit 60k. Misleading title and click bait

If the quality was there, it might be worth $60K. But it's not there (in any Ford product).

$42, 860 is the base price for a 2024 Mustang GT. Add a bunch of nonsense and you're quickly at $60k
