Good information, yeah it’s hard to not want to crank down on those stabilizers!! They just look so torque-able 😄 when we had our first travel trailer, I had to fight that urge a lot.. thanks for sharing - Kyle and Renee

Nice video, new subsctiber. Appreciate what you share as we are first-time rv'ers. We are full-timm permanent campers, and so far, we have experienced plumbing leaks, our awning that had to be repaired.

My 32 ft camper weighs over 7000 pounds. My "leveling" stands have zero issues being used as jacks. I used them to level all the time and my frame isn't bent They're as strong as the jacks that lift my pickup.

Great video! One tip I'd like to offer is check the pressure you have on the stabilizers during your stay. Throughout my recent trip it seems that the ground wasn't rock solid and I found some had a lot of pressure on them and others were loose. On pack up day one stand was so tight it slightly bent the adjuster screw and one had no pressure. I'll now make it a point to check each one each morning.

I have a single axle travel trailer with a slide out. I was wondering I should level and then stabilize before slide out or after slide out is out?

Using the glass of water test, first test stablizers up person would rock trailer bouncing around. Second test, stabilizers down, person simply walked around trailer. To be fair person should make same movements. Good video to stimulate thinking.

Do I need to stabilize when storing at the storage?

Just curious, do you think the stabilizers should be put down before or after opening slides? Or does it not make a difference?

Great video! I got lucky though on my 2021 26DBH, it came with power stabilizers. Roughly the same concept, they stabilize only, not for leveling but there is a little switch for each front and rear and they go up and down on their own. They are a little slow but I figure this makes sure I don't tweak anything. Left and right come down as one so its less likely to twist the frame too.

Don't mean to sound dumb but you stabilizer up- throwing me are the stabilizer attached to trailer al ready? Welded to frame? Or are they moveable you have to carry them around?? ??
And YOU STATE UNDERNEATH BUT WHERE? WHAT DIES THE BAR THAT YOU PUT JACH PN LOOK LIKE? EHERE ON BAR FÉ

Interesting topic. I agree, using the ratchet wrench will put a lot of torque. I like the idea of a cheaper drill, which gives up easily when hitting resistance, giving me the fast and not to powerful option. Excellent idea using the cup of water for a visual aid.
