Olympics 2012: Is Your Business Flexible Enough?
Показать описание
A webinar for HR & Diversity Leaders.
Jennifer Liston-Smith looks at the true impact the Olympic Games are going to have on your employees and your business.
Guests include: Caroline Stroud, Partner, Freshfields; Sam Barnes, Associate, Freshfields; Rick Cudworth, Partner, Deloitte.
According to a recent survey by Olympic sponsor BT, nearly a third of British firms have not yet worked out basic plans to cope with a lack of staff and other disruption from this summer's Olympic Games.
One of the biggest issues is obviously transportation disruption; this has implications for nearly all areas of business. Staff availability will be a key challenge.
Several of My Family Care's clients, including Deloitte and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, are heavily involved in the Olympics and are well ahead of the game in understanding the implications of disruption and planning to take account of it.
We're joined by Rick Cudworth, a Partner at Deloitte UK and Lead Partner for Resilience services, which consists of over 50 specialists addressing Technology, Operational & Organisational Resilience and Preparedness.
One of his key responsibilities is as Lead Partner for Games Readiness. In this role he and his team are working with LOCOG and GLA in support of their integrated readiness & testing programmes for London 2012. He also sits on Deloitte's own internal Games Readiness programme steering group as a specialist advisor and is engagement partner for several client advisory projects in this area.
We're also delighted to have the participation of Caroline Stroud and Sam Barnes, a partner and associate respectively of Freshfields' Employment, Pensions and Benefits department. Caroline and Sam have been involved in advising the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games on a wide range of employment law issues.
They share their insights, experience and advice on what businesses could and should do to avoid and manage staff disruption over the coming summer.
