Bukas Palad Music Ministry 'Emmanuel'

Bukas Palad Music Ministry is a community of very talented singers who, under the Jesuit Music Ministry of the Ateneo de Manila University, has recorded 18 albums and performed in over a hundred solo concerts here and abroad.

Bukas Palad's praise song, Emanuel, is based on a traditional hymn with additional lyrics and music by George Gozum and Manoling V. Francisco, SJ. It was translated into Filipino by Rene Oliveros, SJ, with choral arrangement by Norman A. Agatep and instrumental arrangement by Gino Torres.

Among the well-loved praise songs that Bukas Palad made popular are "Hindi Kita Malilimutan", "Sa'yo Lamang", "Anima Christi", "Tanging Yaman" and "I Will Sing Forever". Filipino artists like Lea Salonga, Regine Velasquez, Gary V, Basil Valdez, Jamie Rivera, Joey Albert, Cooky Chua, and Noel Cabangon recorded their own versions of these songs while other Bukas Palad songs have been used as theme songs and tv and movie titles.
