The “Orion Williamson” story from 1954 is actually a short story by mystery fiction writer Ambrose Bierce called “The Difficulty of Crossing a Field". It was first published in the San Francisco Examiner, October 14, 1888.
The tale was also published in the fantasy collection “Can Such Things Be?” together with 23 other works of fiction by Mr. Bierce.

A very long time ago, back in 1978 or so, I read about the "vanishing farmer" in a book and it fascinated me. Even today it gives me goose bumps! I wonder if that is the same thing that happens to all the people missing in the "411 The Missing" books. Very interesting about the rocks under the spot where he disappeared. Thanks! Love this channel!!

The light on the RR tracks has a perfectly logical explanation. When I was a kid we hung around the RR tracks in my town all the time, putting penny's on the rails for trains to flatten them, etc. I saw discharges of static electrical energy flitting along the tracks numerous times over the years, we used to call it ball lightening but I think technically that's something else. We saw it during the day and at night. It looked exactly like what's described in the video.
If you want a spooky connection though; the train tracks we hung out around are in what's now known as the Bridgewater Triangle, also covered in this video. The tracks are currently used by the MBTA commuter rail trains. I grew up in one of the towns the borders the "triangle" although we didn't call it that then. In that area is the Burrage Conservation area that we called The Great Cedar Swamp back then, it's a very large undeveloped area of woodlands and swamp. I have childhood friends that saw UFO's in that area several times, also the ghosts of Indians from King Philips War. I never saw anything...other than static discharge along the tracks.

Weird…

Both the headless train story (more importantly the strange railroad light which is the origin of this tale)
&
The hitchhiker story are both well known and told he in Saskatchewan as well (Canada).

The railroad light may be seen anywhere a railroad exists in just the right area, and the phantom hitchhiker also seems to be a very common sighting on certain stretches as well, if not every single highway ever!!!

I love this channel. There's so much interesting shit in your videos that no other YouTube creators talk about it's insane how unique some creators are you guys must go way out of your way to find these stories, especially the UFO tablet one. I thought I knew everything about UFO sightings until I heard that story. Thank you for your hard work, Ty! You're awesome!

Guys, there’s no such thing as “The Fall River” in Freetown. It is the Taunton River, which leads to Fall River, a very famous nearby city.

I feel so bad for that guy who walked into ... another world or wherever it was that he went. I hope he was okay somehow. That story always bothers me.

The dude disappearing in Selma AL isn't true. That's been proven to be a fictional story numerous times. Bierce wrote a story near identical

One hot July afternoon in 1854, a farmer named Orion Williamson was walking on his farm near Selma. Williamson's wife and family were on the front porch of the farmhouse. Then, neighbors passed by and waved to Williamson, who was walking in ankle-deep grass. Orion waved back before vanishing right before the eyes of his family and neighbors.
The party ran to the site, frantically searching, but found no sign of Williamson. Soon, a search party was formed, and 300 men are said to have combed the fields well into the night. In the days to come, people came from far and wide to see where the farmer vanished.
According legend, Mrs. Williamson and her son could still hear Orion's voice calling for help for weeks until finally stopping.

The railroad storey is similar to a local phenomenon, old train tracks, mysterious light that sometimes turns red and conductor looking for his head. I've seen this light my self. It's just really interesting to hear something so similar, including the theory about vehicle lights but was seen before vehicles were around. Super interesting and will do a little research on.

We also have a mysterious light that is near a railroad track. It's called the Paulding Light here in MI.
