Well, tbh you cant say that MK 108 was modeled correctly in a 2001 game. They are underpowered in WT but not completely accurate as well as in IL 2 1946. If you would compare 2 games, it would make more sense to take the Il2 BoX because it is newer and more realistic and make some judgments from there.

in wt becouse it is online multi hit detection is incositant and you got .50cal so when they hit they hit 5 times at once

in war thunder the mk 108 is kinda trolly, sometimes one shot and sometimes need 2 or 3

The MK 108 30mm firing through the propeller hub often did not work at all, but when it did it seems to have had a rate of fire more like the Il-2 performance version.

MK-108 in il-2 sounds like a cannon. In WT it sounds like a MP-40 handgun
