Those head upgrades made A HUGE difference with the bigger toms. So much more punch. Great kit. Great price.

The Evans heads upgrade with lower tuning was sick. Love the beautiful natural finish. This is a home run...

As I have the 7 piece Catalina Maple, although mine being of an earlier time, it was nice to see that DCP have "revived" one of the best value for money kits available. No better drum kit for the money than a set of Gretsch Catalina. I still love my white marine pearl 4-piece Catalina Club kit.

What a kit! Well done! Love the low tuning especially.

One (slight) criticism: I understand we’re all watching someone else play the kit, but considering 99% of us at least play drums, this would seem the PERFECT case of audience perspective mixing. I kept getting distracted imaging playing the kit, and hearing those beautiful floors on the wrong side, and it would snap me out of it.

M.Owner, your last beats and shops shot was really great! Catalina is the to my ears, the best of the best for bucks spend. In a demo room, in store it’s always the “why I don’t have this!”. Sound wise, it’s spot on.
