Sea level rise is increasing at a dramatic rate. Scientists at the University of Miami warn that if we don't act soon, coastal cities and towns will slowly diminish. Scientists say a few decades from now, downtown Miami will be underwater.

Remember how movies show buildings standing in the middle of the ocean? It won't be like that. Miami buildings don't have beams. That's why most of the Surfside condo collapsed, instead of just a small contained section. There won't be standing buildings surrounded by ocean. They'll all collapse.

So many disgusting science deniers in here. Just because it didn't happen by 2020 doesn't mean it's not going to happen eventually. Timing is hard to predict but the trend is clear. The sea level IS rising as we speak.

Historic flooding in Fort Lauderdale twice in less than 4 years(04/12/23).

it's gonna happen way before 2060!

The timing is usually off by 5-10 years.

Have no fear. The world won't make it to 2060.

I like how he stretched it out longer this time, not like when other quacks said this was suppose to happen around 2020 or 2000 way back when. I’m sure they said 1980 too but I’m not old to enough to remember.

They said that over 100 years ago!!! It's all lies.

Sad to see those million dollar Star Island homes will be under water. I guess floating homes and electric car mandate will be the norm.

I see a lot of republicans on the comments today. Of course nothing is wrong with our climate everything is perfect.

So I bought a house in an "at risk of flooding by the sea" area 27 years ago. It was, when I bought it, according to the Ordnance survey at mean sea level, so roughly at half way between high, and low tide. It is roughly half a mile from the beach. 27 Years later that house according to the ordnance survey is mean sea level plus one foot. This is on the south coast of England which is supposedly provably sinking into the sea whilst Scotland is rising out of the sea. I was told when I bought it by many green meanie freinds not to buy it specifically because it would be under sea water by 2010. Well here I am 27 years later, on a "provably sinking" part of England surrounded by both a nature reserve, and a country park, that has had NO innundation by the sea in all of that time.

For those of you who state their must be a sea wall, of course there is, but through that wall flow several streams, and during high tide the streams do flow back into the nature reserve, and the surrounding reed beds. However even spring tides have not bought flooding to the area. If these doom sayers were remotely correct then THE International sailing centre would be at risk as well, but it still sits on the edge of the sea, admittedly in what used to be the largest port in the world, but it also isn't underwater at this time. Since I moved here there have constantly been rising sea predictions, however no sea port to date has yet been innundated, unless by a Tsunami, in any country in the world!!

They should not waste the frozen water !! They should recycle it for drinking purposes ! Avoid flooding

He said it could be within 50 years. How is that 2060? 🤦‍♂

I thought it was already supposed to be underwater? What happen to the 2020 timeline? These 🤡 keep moving the goal post. I’ll be worried when real estate prices in the Florida keys drop by 80%

Lol...by then we will be converting water into hydrogen as energy source thus more water will be a good thing.
