My FAVORITE thing is when you click a link to access a page but the website makes you sign in to access the page, so you sign in but instead of sending you to the page you were trying to access after signing in it defaults to sending you to their home page leaving you NO WAY to actually access the page you were trying to. I just love that.

Reminds me of when I went to cancel my SiriusXM membership.

Can't cancel it without talking to a rep. Okay talk to a rep. Sends you to a bot. Bot can't let you cancel a subscription, you need to wait 20 minutes for a virtual rep. Rep refuses to let you cancel and instead runs you through fucking 20 questions about "but do you REALLY want to cancel" and finally only relents after you threaten legal action.

True story.

You bring up two issues close to my heart! Youtube is the perfect example of how corporations eventually enshittify everything no matter how great its origins, there has never been more content being produced yet YT still insists on showing me videos I just watched or watched years ago or videos I didn't click on the last 10 times I refreshed the page. No usbA in macbooks still makes me angry even 10 years later, both because 90% of us still have and use it and that Apple can be so arrogant and anti consumer without consequences. Iets hope the Eu force them to make changes like a removable ssd like they did with usbC for their iphones.

The enshittification is real. Things have worse functionality with every iteration. Every new website starts with an image eating half of my 55 inch (TV as monitor) screen, rather than letting me get to what I got there for, the content. Services are discontinued or enshittified while everything keeps getting more expensive faster than pays (don't) rise.

Also don't forget that now when you search something on youtube, instead of showing you what you WANT to search for, it's mainly filled up with videos they THINK you will like, and videos you have ALREADY watched! Seriously, what were they thinking coming up with this change because it is not only stupid, it's actively aggravating seeing youtube think they know what I want to watch better than me
