Link Doesn't Need Air in Tears of the Kingdom

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is here. It's mildly interesting, but Link can hold his breath a lot longer than, uh, expected.

Won't lie, this is a good thing, I got stuck under a box for awhile, and had a really good thing built up for awhile, only reason I didn't get reset (and thus the thing vanishing) is because while sitting still it made no difference, the current eventually gave me a way out

That somewhat makes sense. I mean the Hebra mountains can be considered Hyrules equivalent to Mount Everest, & the only environmental danger he gets up there is frost bite.

For those who don't know, Mt. Everest is so high that there's barely any air up there.

The funniest part is that when returning to the surface of the water, he'll always take a short gasp for air

So he really IS holding his breath forever

Breath of the wild did this as well, you also don't lose stamina while on a wall if you remain still

Link is very athletic, he jumps ALLLLMOST has high as Maryo, I never noticed the height he jumped until now

Kinda makes sense! If anyone was that high up in the sky without an air tank they’d die. Maybe Rauru gifts Link the ability to just not need to breathe
