I saw this in theaters, and you could feel the tension in the audience, especially at the end. No one got up, they just sat there transfixed watching Elio cry. It was incredible. One couple in their 80s held each other, others cried. I felt every second of this film as if it were happening to me.

This is a coming of age love story with a universal message. This song captures the essence so beautifully. It could be just as affecting about a man/woman woman/woman or whatever gender. The other film released in the same year the brilliant Gods Own Country deserved the same if not more attention.
